Timesheet Upgrade
This afternoon (4/16/15) we completed an overhaul of our timesheet feature and would like to take a moment to share the important changes we've made to the feature.
Here's an overview of what was added:
- You no longer need to lock payroll in order to publish timesheets.
- You no longer need to publish timesheets in order to lock payroll.
- The employee's view of their timesheet was completely redesigned to resemble your payroll screens.
- You may optionally no longer need to publish timesheets by pressing a button - they can be immediately available when the pay period starts.
- You may request that employees verify their timesheets.
- You may provide employees the option to report timesheet problems.
- Employees who use the time clock may submit time clock adjustments on their timesheet.
- Does not use any of PlanIt's payroll features (no payroll menu).
- Has a seperate custom developed payroll system (rare).
- Has a pay period not based upon 1 week or 2 weeks (example if you pay 1st to the 15th and 15th to end of month)
All of these changes are optional. By default these new features are currently turned off. If you would like to implement any of these changes, please see the Payroll Settings page found within the System Menu under Settings.
Finally, this update is only available to agencies that have access to the timesheets feature before today. If your agency meets any one of the following the feature will not be available:
