On Friday, we released an update which expands the color coding options within PlanIt. With this new update you can now set color coding by unit, platoon, shift name and time off bank to go along with the initial options of by employee or by job.

We've also opened up the option for you to set the color of the text. To make it easier to configure colors we moved all the color coding tools into one area. Within that area you can set the color for an individual item or multiple items at the same time. You can also copy colors with our "Same As..." feature.

The expanded color options are available in the new calendar editor and the schedule page available to all employees. In an update in the next few weeks we will add the new color coding options to the time line editor to complete this feature. We will not be adding the new color options into the current calendar editor. Only the new open beta calendar editor will support the new colors.

In a related front, we've also added a larger printing option for the schedule page. If you click on "Options" you can set "Larger Printing". This will print as the same size you view on the screen rather than the tiny font. This setting is attached to your account and you will only need to set it once.

Finally, we've received great feedback from our calendar editor beta - we appreciate all of the comments. We've implemented many of your suggestions already. Based upon your positive feedback, we will be removing the beta tag at the beginning of June. At this time we will remove the feedback buttons and the old version of the calendar editor.

WHERE To access the new color coding setup, go to the System menu and select "Color Coding".

HOW Once setup on the schedule page or new calendar editor click the "Options" button. Within this dialog you have a color coding option.
